CNN's Chris Cuomo says 'weird stuff is going on' with his lungs and his blood work is 'funky' as he reveals he is still 'not 100%' recovered from coronavirus' after two months
Chris Cuomo has said he has still not back to his usual health two months after he got coronavirus.
The CNN anchor battled COVID-19 in March and April and has shared details of the recovery ever since his New York Governor brother Andrew Cuomo revealed the news in a press briefing.
But on Cuomo Prime Time this Tuesday, the host, 49, revealed he has 'weird stuff going on' with his lungs and 'funky stuff' in his blood work.
'People who've been through this have strange tales to tell and not a lot of great answers from doctors to weird stuff in their blood work. I'm one of them,' Chris Cuomo said Tuesday

He opened up to Dr Sanjay Gupta who probed him on life after the virus. The topic came up as they discussed people having antibody tests and finding out they could have had coronavirus without knowing it.
'They're not going to get a test result that's going to give them confidence. And they're still going … because recovery's a complicated thing, how are you doing now?'

'I still have weird stuff going on with my lungs. I'm not back to where I was before I had the virus, but I can work.'
Cuomo said he wants to donate blood to help with research and has found out that his organs haven't returned to how they were before he fell ill.
He admitted it's alarming for him but feels comforted by the fact others are going through the same health scare.
He told Dr. Sanjay Gupta on CNN's Cuomo Prime Time: 'I still have weird stuff going on with my lungs. I'm not back to where I was before I had the virus'
'I can hang out. I can engage with my family. I'm going to be able to do plasma donations, which I want to do with you, together, to show the audience how it works if people are able to do that,' Cuomo continued.
'But I'm not 100%. And there is funky stuff in my blood work that doctors say is what they see in people who have COVID. So, freaks me out a little bit.'
He added: 'People like to suffer together. So as long as there are other people who have the same kind of funky blood work, I'll just keep taking it one day at a time.'
Chris Cuomo was criticized for last Wednesday's show when he pulled out a coronavirus testing swab and explained how it was the standard size put up a patient's nose to swipe inside.
Then he pulled out a mock cotton swab the size of a baseball bat.

'So then, in scale, this was the actual swab that was being used to fit up that double-barrel shotgun that you have mounted on the front of your pretty face?' he joked with his brother Andrew.
'See I said I was going to be nice and sweet…Very funny,' the Governor said cracking up.
'I thought I did so well on that nasal test. Standing up there, she did the swab, I did not flinch. I was a cool dude in a loose mood,' Andrew Cuomo added about his test that had been aired on live TV.
'Of course you were! That swab was like a piece of lint going in that thing on your face. How could it have collected anything? It was like throwing a rock around a cave!' the reporter said.
'That is so not right. This is not love,' the governor said jokingly.
New York is still the worst affected state with more than 362,000 cases of coronavirus and and 23,490 deaths by Wednesday.
