Largest Trump flag ever is unveiled OVER the controversial BLM mural painted outside the president's Fifth Avenue skyscraper in Manhattan and then taken on NYC tour

Trump supporters unfurled what they say is the largest ever flag honoring the president - completely covering the controversial Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower in Manhattan.

Dozens of people gathered outside the Fifth Avenue building 3.30pm on Tuesday before they marched toward Times Square as part of a project named 'Operation Flag Drop', which is organized through a Facebook group.

The crowd recited the pledge of allegiance and chants such as 'whose streets? our streets' and 'four more years' as they marched the 75ft by 50ft flag reading 'Trump: Law and Order' through New York City.

Starting at the BLM mural, the group stayed there for several minutes celebrating before the march began. Most donned Make America Great Again hats and Trump 2020 t-shirts but few wore face masks to guard against coronavirus.

The president's son Eric thanked the crowds for turning out in the Trump family's hometown.

'We love all of you so much! If I was there today (I’m campaigning in Michigan and Minnesota) I would come down and give you all a big hug!' he wrote on Twitter.

'Happening RIGHT NOW in NYC in front of Trump Tower!'

Among the supporters was Puerto Rican Mariano Labsaoy, who said that he attended to show 'support our great president Donald J Trump'.

'He has made America the best country on the face of the Earth. Low unemployment, we are safer, we are better, we are stronger. That's why I'm here to support four more years.

'It was great,' he added of walking down Fifth Avenue.

'It's a great feeling knowing that we can use our freedom of expression, to have the freedom to do whatever we want to  - all under the law. No burning, no killing, no fighting, just a peaceful demonstration. This is what is called a peaceful demonstration. At the same time, we are not insulting anyone we are just marching exercising our constitutional right.'

Another attendee, Tina Forte, said that the group was 'not to be ridiculed for loving our country and loving our president because we are not the party of division, we're the heart of America'.

'Loud and proud because Trump supporters need to get loud and proud,' she added.

'We shouldn't be silent and called racist because we support a president who loves everyone. He loves everyone, he loves America and you know what, he's the leader of the free world. Under Biden and Harris, we won't be free anymore. We will all be communists and socialists and that is not going to happen, not on my watch.'

Video footage of the march showed many of the attendees streaming the event to their social media accounts as they chanted.

Some passersby cheered them on and clapped as they went by.

When the group reached Times Square, they played Frank Sinatra's 'New York, New York' to continue their celebration.

One woman holding an 'Indonesian American for Trump' sign gave a speech in Times Square berating those who don't support Trump.

'We are immigrants,' she said. 'We came here because we want a successful life. You're just a spoilt little kid staying in your Mom's house. I don't even think you have a Mom or Dad. You don't know what love is.'

'They underestimated the silent majority,' another man said. 'We have risen. We are silent no more.'

No incidents were reported during the march but earlier in the day, cops responded to remove a smaller Trump 2020 flag that had been placed on the archway in Washington Square Park.

The flag appeared overnight, hung about 25 feet up on the eastern part of the structure, according to the New York Post

About a dozen officers arrived to remove the flag at around 2pm in the afternoon. Some onlookers clapped as it was taken down.

Tuesday's flag unveiling came a week after hundreds of Trump supporters gathered in Manhattan as part of flag-waving convoy to wish the president well as continued his battle with COVID-19 at the Walter Reed Medical Center.

A procession of around 100 vehicles packed Fifth Avenue outside Trump Tower on October 4, temporarily bringing traffic to a standstill as dozens of MAGA-supporting motorists honked their horns, cheered and waved ‘Trump 2020’ flags.

The supporters, from Suffolk County, Long Island, also chanted ‘four more years’ outside the president’s former residence.

The gesture of support lasted around an hour and stretched for more than three blocks from 56th Street and beyond 59th Street.
