Today show host Bobbie Thomas' husband Michael Marion dies aged 42 - two years years after suffering a debilitating stroke
Today show host Bobbie Thomas' husband Michael Marion has died at the age of 42.
The style editor, 46, made the announcement in a Instagram post Sunday, writing: 'Nothing is normal. Maybe nothing will ever be normal again. For me, it won’t. My husband is gone.'
Michael's death came after he suffered a stroke in May last year. An obituary for the late lawyer said he died on Tuesday after a 'heroic struggle'. It adds: 'He had a smile that lit up every room he entered.'
Sharing three pictures with her husband Thomas added: 'With all the fear, anger, and division going on in the world right now, it’s so easy to get upset about the lack of normalcy.
'But I beg you, everyone reading this, hold onto what you do have right now instead of focusing on what you don’t.
'One thing we all have is kindness. Absorb it, extend it, exhaust it.'

Marion was a lawyer who graduated from the University of Michigan, the George Washington School of Law and the NYU School of Law.
The couple were married in 2013 and had one son together, five-year-old Miles. Thomas had shared their struggle to have kids after failed rounds of IVF.
Then in May 2019 Thomas revealed how her husband had suffered a stroke at the age of just 40.
Thomas is the Today show's style editor. Her NBC colleague Jenna Bush Hager replied: 'Bobbie, your strength amazes. Love you so'
In May of this year Thomas told Today show viewers how Michael was walking with assistance after first coming home in a wheelchair.
She said: 'It's kind of amazing. If a year ago you told me what I was going to be dealing with a year out, it would've been too overwhelming. I think that focusing day by day on what was in front of us, it's amazing because now we feel so fortunate.
"We celebrate every little victory. It's hard to appreciate those small things if we look ahead.'
In June she shared video of Michael picking their son up for the first time since his stroke.

In her tribute to Michael Sunday Thomas added: 'In the end, the ONLY thing that matters is love. If you’re lucky enough to have it, please appreciate it, every moment, every day. Especially during the hard parts. There will never be enough time and some of our forevers are much too short.
'As I type through tears, I embrace gratitude ... holding our precious son Miles and memories, of the time I did have with Michael, closer to my broken heart.
'Thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown us and our families. Please go hug the people you love.'
