Google CEO says company will 'DROP EVERYTHING' to fix the glaring error on its cheeseburger emoji...but can you tell what it is? (6 Pics)

There's a right way and a wrong way to construct a cheesburger, and right now the internet is trying to figure out which one is which.

The debate arose when author Thomas Baekdal realised there was a small but important difference between the cheeseburger emoji on an iPhone and a phone running Google's Android operating system.

While Apple puts the cheese above the patty, Google opts to have it below.

“I think we need to have a discussion about how Google's burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top,” Baekdal wrote on social media.

Before long, his tweet had gone viral - sparking a worldwide debate about the correct way to build a burger.

Even Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, weighed in - promising that the multibillion dollar tech company would "drop everything else we are doing and address on Monday."

It looks like Google might be out on its own by placing the cheese underneath the burger - all other emojis have it on top of the meat.

However, we're not sure if the tech giant will actually back down and change the emoji once it realises that the cheese should ALWAYS be on top of the burger.

The exchange between Baekdal and Pichai has thousands of social media users making suggestions and tweeting their own jokes.
