'I'm white and I'm f*****g fabulous:' Drunk US woman, 51, who threatened to draw her gun during a racist rant at two black sisters is FIRED from her job and now faces criminal charges
A white woman has been fired from her job and faces criminal charges after video footage showed her drunkenly shouting racist abuse at two black sisters.
The video, which one of the women posted on Facebook on Friday, shows Susan Westwood approaching two black women who were waiting for AAA to service their car, calling them 'b***h' and asking them 'Is your baby daddy here'?'.
The 51-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, also starts bragging about her '$125,000-a-year job' and boasts that she is 'fabulous'.
She now faces criminal charges for communicating threats and her employer, Spectrum, confirmed that her contract has now been terminated.
Susan Westwood bragged to the women about earning '$125,000' and asked how much rent they paid before saying 'I'm white and I'm hot'
The incident happened late at night on October 19 in South Charlotte according to information from police and the victims.
Chele Garris, one of the women who was verbally attacked along with her sister Leisa, posted a series of videos of the incident to Facebook. In an accompanying post she wrote:
‘MOUTH DROPPING VIDEOS...Never thought this would happen to my sister and I right here in Charlotte, NC’.
In the video, Susan Westwood engages the other women for no apparent reason.
Leisa (left) and Chele Garris (right) said they are distraught over the incident
The sisters were aggressively confronted by Westwood after they politely asked her to leave them alone.
At one point one of them told her: ‘You are harassing us.' However Westwood continues to berate them and asks repeatedly 'Do you live here'.
One of the women is heard in the video calling 911 and saying: 'The lady was pushing me in my face'.
Westwood approaches them, the video shows, questioning whether they lived there and ‘why they are congregating’ in the parking lot.
She then proceeds to tell them repeatedly that she earns $125,000 a year in her job and asks them how much they earn. 'I'm white and I'm hot', she can be heard saying.
One of the sisters who reports the harassment has a calm demeanor on the phone as she thanks the dispatchers and answers the dispatcher’s questions.
'It surprised me', she told a police dispatcher. 'I’ve been living here for over a year and I’ve never been treated this way. I’m a resident just like her'.
After the two women walk away and one of them calls 911 to report harassment, Westwood yells at them from a distance: ‘Do I need to bring out my concealed weapon, too? This is North Carolina by the way'.
On the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office website, there are four criminal summons that have been issued for Susan Westwood for two counts of communicating threats and two counts of simple assault.
Spectrum, Westwood’s former employer, provided a statement saying that her employment with the company has been terminated effective immediately.
The company said: 'The incident recorded in Charlotte is a blatant violation of Charter’s code of conduct and clearly disregards the company’s commitment to inclusion and respectful behavior.
'As such, Ms Westwood’s employment with the company has been terminated, effective immediately'.
‘It’s so upsetting to know that today we have overt racism still going on in 2018,' one of the women said, according to a video of their interview posted on a WCCB’s reporter’s Twitter.
The two women called it a 'racially-motivated attack.'
In a shared statement, the sisters added: 'We are distraught and still very upset about what has taken place only because of the color of our skin.
The incident happened over more than five minutes as the sisters waited by their vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot for AAA car service, video shows.
By Saturday, the video was viewed on various social media sites nearly 1 million times.
Westwood tells them to 'F**k off' and accuses them of not living there even after they explained that they did and that they were outside waiting due to car trouble.
The pair said the videos showing the incident and tagging several social media outlets to expose acts of racism.
The Charlotte Observer reported that Police on Saturday would not identify the woman who is accused of both assault and making threats.
The video is the latest encounter captured with cell phone cameras that show white people across the United States bullying and threatening black people and other minorities.
Earlier this month a drunk woman called unleashes a racist tirade at two men outside a bar in Kansas before telling them to 'get the f**k outta here'.
In the same week, a black man’s video of a white woman refusing to allow him to enter his apartment building went viral and caused the woman to lose her job,
In Brooklyn, New York, a white woman told police that a 9-year-old boy sexually assaulted her, but video surveillance showed the boy accidentally brushing past her while walking in a deli. The woman has since issued an apology.
