MEAN GIRLS: Vogue Bashes Melania Trump’s White House Christmas Portrait
Leftists seem to have no concept of the Christmas spirit. The mean girl cattiness they have shown toward First Lady Melania Trump two years in a row now makes that readily clear.
After having her Christmas decorations excoriated as something from the pits of hell, the fashion outlet Vogue has now blasted the White House Christmas portrait.
According to the article, which was written by an unnamed author, the rather wholesome, traditional photo of the First Lady and President Trump "feels so strangely off" while asserting the couple looks "almost like cardboard cutout versions of themselves."
"They are very, very smiley—despite this season of indictments, and the dissolution of their flagrantly fraudulent charity organization," it says. "They are also holding hands, a move that is famously out of character for them.
The article then quotes Vogue.com’s Visual Director Emily Rosser to explain why the first couple looks like "wax statues."
"It’s how they’re lit versus the lighting in the space," says Rosser. "It makes them look like cutouts."
Vogue.com’s Senior Designer Durrant Santeng simultaneously notes that the lighting is "very overdone."
The piece concludes, "As former Trump White House associates continue to fall like snowflakes on a winter day in the Mueller investigation, the wildly sunny White House Christmas portrait might be another attempt to keep spirits looking bright."
Media Research Center vice president Dan Gainor told Fox News that Vogue's decision to make the author anonymous was an act of cowardice. "Notice how no one at Vogue was brave enough to put their name on this utter piece of garbage? This isn’t journalism, its crap. It belongs in the same sewer that Vogue inhabits," he said. "Major media have done more to discredit legitimate journalism than anything their critics -- even Donald Trump -- could ever do."
Gainor went on to say that Vogue was particularly disgusting for criticizing the first couple for holding hands. "It’s because of garbage ‘news’ stories like this… that journalism is in the awful state it is in," he said. "Vogue is especially disgusting here by complaining about the president and first lady because they are smiling and holding hands. It’s even more laughable because it’s so bitter and vindictive."
The hate for Melania Trump on Christmas began with the unveiling of her Christmas decor, with multiple outlets specifically targeting the 40 topiary trees strung together by cranberries and red berries in the East Colonnade of the White House. Vice even declared that Melania's decor resembles a "circle of hell Dante could never have dreamed up."
"It's 2018: It's well-established that we live in hell. It only makes sense that the first lady's Christmas decorations would match the bleakness of the Trump era," said Vice.
Vanity Fair said Melania Trump's Christmas decor always seem to have "a touch of menace to them."
"It wouldn’t be a Trump White House Christmas without, again, a menacing touch to what is otherwise a lavishly and beautifully wrought winter wonderland," said VF. "This year, crimson red trees dotted a long hallway, dyed with what I assume is liberal blood a-boiling."
