New app allows conservatives to find safe places to drink and dine: 'Socialist goon squads' are coming for conservatives

There's a brand-new app that allows conservatives to find "safe" businesses to frequent — and it's called 63red Safe.

What are the details?

App developer Scott Wallace appeared Monday on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" to discuss the new app.

Wallace told the show's hosts that he created the app in response to the treatment of officials in President Donald Trump's administration in public.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was one of the administration officials who received abuse for dining in public. In June, the owner of a Virginia restaurant asked Sanders to leave the establishment because of her affiliation with the Trump administration.

She wasn't the only one; angry people have also targeted presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen while they were out in public. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R), was also chased out of a D.C. restaurant by unruly protesters during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The new app, which many people are calling "Yelp for conservatives," aims to help conservatives find businesses where they won't be harangued for their political persuasion.

Wallace said that his intentions were to get "politics out of local businesses [and] local restaurants."

"We wanted to make sure that people could let others know what restaurants may have a political bent," he explained. "We're not looking to try and find restaurants that are 'conservative' or 'pro-Trump.' We want businesses to understand that there's no money in politics. We want to make sure everyone's safe out there."

Wallace added, "We feel like there's a general unease among conservatives out there, about whether they'll be protected and safe as they go out to restaurants and local businesses."

Users will be able to rank businesses as "safe" or "unsafe" for conservative consumers and customers based on a series of questions. The questions include whether the restaurant permits concealed carry and if the establishment will "protect its customers if they are attacked or political reasons." The questions also inquire whether the business will serve patrons of "every political belief" and if they avoid political advertisements.

In an interview with the Daily Beast, Wallace said that he fully believes the app will experience a surge in popularity as a result of the upcoming 2020 presidential election.

Wallace told the outlet that he believes that "socialist goon squads" will target conservatives and Trump supporters in the coming days.

"I think Antifa was nothing compared between now and what's coming in 2020," Wallace explained. "And I'm deeply concerned."

Anything else?

Lawmakers and Trump administrations aren't the only ones that have been targeted: Regular, hardworking Americans have felt the wrath of the anti-conservative movement, too.

In 2017, a liberal male student lost it on a group of conservatives and things turned violent.

In February, another liberal reportedly punched a conservative student in the face on the campus of UC Berkeley.

Those incidents don't even touch the number of people harassed for wearing Trump campaign slogan "Make America Great Again" hats.

In August 2017, several teens wearing MAGA gear to historically black Howard University were harassed and threatened, and one of their hats was taken.

Then in September 2017, a student at the University of California, Riverside, was caught on video delivering a profane, 10-minute tirade after taking off another student's MAGA hat.

In December 2017, Campus Reform reported that members of a College Republicans club were kicked out of a local coffee shop for donning MAGA hats.

Last April, a male international tourist of New York City was mugged at knifepoint. The suspects reportedly made off with the man's MAGA hat.

In May, a black man was reportedly targeted by Cheesecake Factory employees who mocked and intimidated him for wearing a MAGA hat in the restaurant.

And in July, a Texas public school teacher was investigated after he reportedly took a teen's MAGA hat off and threw a drink in the teen's face.

Uber drivers have even gotten into the fray: in July, one of the company's drivers reportedly refused to transport congressional interns who were wearing their MAGA hats.
