‘Unbelievable!’ AOC’s defense of Ilhan Omar’s 9/11 terrorist remarks should go over REALLY well in NYC
GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw fired back at Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar after she accused him of “dangerous incitement” for accurately quoting her remarks about the 9/11 terrorists.
1. I never called you un-American.
2. I did not incite any violence against you.
3. You described an act of terrorism on American soil that killed thousands of innocent lives as “some people did something.”

I can't believe you are doubling down on this. You know you took @IlhanMN's words entirely out of context to act like she's downplaying terrorism. Ilhan talked about how one group of people did 9/11, and that led to all Muslims being persecuted. And you are proving her point.

Crenshaw did no such thing. But it’s no surprise that Chakrabarti would lie about Crenshaw, given the company he keeps.

Here’s a fact for AOC: The New York Post’s cover is horrifying, but only in the sense that it serves as yet another disturbing reminder that Ilhan Omar is horrifying and hateful. And trying to shift the blame for Omar’s pattern of horrifying and hateful behavior onto Republicans is incredibly dishonest and disgusting.
I’m pretty sure the people who “weaponized her faith” were the ones who blew up the building, not the @nypost but hey, you do you.

The only person weaponizing Omar’s faith today is Omar herself, who is using it as an excuse to spew bigoted, anti-Semitic bile and then hide behind it when it’s convenient for her. Omar is the one harming good and decent Muslims. And so is AOC for defending her.
The difference is that Mr. Crenshaw is not reducing those horrific attacks to "some people who did something." You're making this a right vs left issue, but all acts of terrorism need to be condemned no matter your political ideology and Ilhan would not do that.

You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes.
In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?

Sitting the f*ck down would actually be the smartest thing AOC could do at this point. While we’re not New Yorkers ourselves, we can’t imagine that trying to make excuses for someone who so flippantly whitewashed the 9/11 terrorists as “some people who did something” is going to go over terribly well out there.
I'm an Independent.. I was in Manhattan on 9/11 and watched it all! I'm sorry but these remarks are hurtful n so inappropriate. I just can't believe the ignorance .. in no context are these comments acceptable. Unbelievable!
