Peter Thiel Calls For FBI Investigation of Google over ‘Seemingly Treasonous’ Acts

Google has been getting raked over the coals recently for alleged instances of censorship and bias.
From leaks proving employee attacks against Breitbart to reports of election interference to stop President Donald Trump in 2020, Google had been in the spotlight — and not in a good way.
And it doesn’t stop there.
A former Google engineer came forward to prove Google’s CEO lied to Congress, and Trump tweeted that Google is trying to “rig the election.”
The Western Journal, the site you are reading now, has written extensively about how the search behemoth has blocked, demoted and hidden our conservative content.
And it’s not just conservative media screaming about Google’s actions.
On Sunday, according to Axios, billionaire Peter Thiel, Facebook board member and co-founder of PayPal, railed against Google while speaking at the National Conservatism Conference in Washington.
His particular topic was DeepMind, an artificial intelligence company that, like Google, is a subsidiary of the Google-created conglomerate Alphabet Inc. Thiel also hit on Google’s unwillingness to work with the U.S. Defense Department on artificial intelligence development.
Thiel likened DeepMind to the Manhattan Project that built the atomic bomb during World War II. He argued that artificial intelligence technology should be thought of as a “military weapon,” according to Bloomberg.
“We’ve been a lot more dishonest about that in Silicon Valley than the nuclear physicists were in the 1940s,” he said, Bloomberg reported.
Thiel, whom Axios labeled “the tech industry’s highest-profile Trump supporter, and one of the most powerful players in Silicon Valley,” said Google needs to be asked three questions.
First, according to Axios, Thiel said Google should be asked: “How many foreign intelligence agencies have infiltrated your Manhattan Project for AI?”
Next, he said Google should have to answer: “Does Google’s senior management consider itself to have been thoroughly infiltrated by Chinese intelligence?”
And last, Thiel rhetorically said Google needed to be asked: “Is it because they consider themselves to be so thoroughly infiltrated that they have engaged in the seemingly treasonous decision to work with the Chinese military and not with the U.S. military?”
“These questions need to be asked by the FBI and the CIA,” Thiel said. “And I’d like them to be asked in a not excessively gentle manner.”
Thiel poses 3 questions for @Google :
1. How many foreign intel agencies have infiltrated deep mind?
2. Does Google management consider itself thorougly infiltrated by Chinese intelligence?
3. Is it because of Chinese infiltration that they will work with Chinese mil and not US? https://twitter.com/esaagar/status/1150559225745235968

Thiel, one of many Trump supporters attending and speaking at the conference, gave a critical 2016 endorsement of the Trump campaign and a $1.25 million donation that, according to Bloomberg, “helped give Trump a measure of Silicon Valley credibility at the time.”
Will Chamberlain, publisher of the conservative website Human Events, reported via Twitter that Thiel continued his speech with more comments on China.

“Thiel with a moment of genius points out that China is an incredibly dirty country [and] suggests we reframe the 25% China tariffs as a carbon tax,” Chamberlain tweeted.
It may be no stranger to investigations and lawsuits, but an FBI inquiry into whether Google’s actions are treasonous against the United States of America would be new territory.
Companies whose size and resources make them a potential threat to national security should be kept under a watchful eye. And no amount of promises or pandering in Congressional hearings should exclude them from rigorous scrutiny.
