WATCH: New Ad In Kentucky Gubernatorial Race Scorches Democrats On Radical Gender Policy
Conservatives are seeking to underscore Democrats' radical gender policies, and its destructive implications for girls and women in particular, in a new hard-hitting ad supporting Republican Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin. The conservative is in a hotly-contested race against Democratic challenger Attorney General Andy Beshear.
With election day creeping up on November 5, American Principles Project (APP) Super PAC "Campaign for American Principles" released an ad Monday showcasing a grim world wherein Beshear-supported gender policies leave young female athletes behind. In the clip, which can be viewed below, young female track runners are blown out by a male competitor who identifies as female.
"All female athletes want is a fair shot in competition, at a scholarship, at a title, at victory," a narrator says. "What if that shot was taken away by a competitor who claims they’re a girl who was born a boy?"
"Andy Beshear supports legislation that would destroy girls’ sports. He calls it 'equality.' Maybe. But is it fair?" the female narrator continues.
The ad closes out urging citizens to vote against Beshear, noting he's "too extreme for Kentucky,” and links to ExtremeAndyBeshear.com.
If the premise seems far-fetched, reconsider the reality that is already on the ground. Soon after the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference adopted a policy allowing "gender identity" to trump biology in athletics, high school girls were smoked by female-identifying biologically male track athletes — derailing vital collegiate opportunities in the process.
"It's scientifically proven that males are built to be physically stronger than females. It's unfair to put someone who is biologically a male, who has not undergone anything in terms of hormone therapy, against cis-gender girls," said track athlete Selina Soule. The teenager took eighth place in a high-stakes high school track competition where two biological males spanked the field; Soule missed an opportunity to compete in front of college coaches by two places.
Moreover, in Ohio, parents were recently stripped of custody when they opposed their child undergoing experimental sex-change procedures.
Unlike Bevin, a solid conservative standing strong to protect females-only spaces and parental rights against the Left's redefining of gender, Beshear is all-in on legislation like the deceptively named federal "Equality Act" and Kentucky "Fairness" bill, which "would destroy women's sports, eliminate parental rights, and allow men to take advantage of women through loopholes in said legislation," APP Director of Policy and Government Affairs Jon Schweppe told The Daily Wire.
"You may not know it, but the truth is that Extreme Andy Beshear supports forcing your daughters to compete against males in sports," ExtremeAndyBeshear.com reads. "And already, parents in nearby Ohio lost custody when their child was encouraged to undergo experimental sex-change procedures. Yet Beshear refuses to support a parental rights bill that would protect families from this abuse. Beshear is too extreme for Kentucky."
The site notes that Beshear refused to support a bill protecting parents' rights when it "came into conflict with his radical 'equality' agenda."
"When a child is struggling with mental health problems and expresses confusion about their gender to a teacher or school administrator, should the school keep it a secret from the child's parents?" the site continues. "Should government bureaucrats and medical professionals make medical decisions for a child against the wishes of the child's parents by encouraging a child to take experimental 'gender-changing' drugs that permanently alter the child's body?”
Schweppe put out a warning shot at Democrats. "Our plan is to show how vulnerable Democrats are on these issues and demonstrate how effective it can be for the GOP to message on them in 2020," he told The Daily Wire. "This is about putting extreme Democrats on notice: We're coming for you."
