Astroturfing is when a large group, sometimes a business, sometimes a political party or interest group, wants to push an agenda and give it the appearance of having grassroots origins and support. This group, based in Florida, is trying to conceal their involvement and funding of the protests to make it appear as though a large and nation-wide sentiment to reopen the country exists where it does not.
