A great grandmother has become an instant online sensation, after racking up thousands of followers on Twitter within days of setting up a profile.
Bryony Burrell has been praised for keeping Brits entertained with her tongue-in-cheek humour throughout the government enforced lockdown.
The 94-year-old received a staggering 572,000 likes, 57,000 retweets and 11,000 comments on her first tweet, after signing up with the bio: 'I've still got it, but nobody wants to see it!'
Since signing up to Twitter last Saturday, Bryony has gained almost 60,000 followers who are enjoying her cheeky sense of humour and jokes about gin.

The great grandmother received over 570,000 likes on her first Tweet, revealing that she never expected to learn anything new at age 94
Penning her first tweet, Bryony wrote: 'At 94 years old, I never imagined that i'd ever be new to anything again, but I'm new to Twitter!
'This is my first Tweetle. This will show my grandson that I can get down with the young ones.
'The only problem I have, is getting back up again!'
Bryony who is young-at heart, calls herself 'Life of Bryony' on the platform.
In other hilarious tweets, the gin-loving pensioner said: 'I'm getting very confused with all the new terminology that people are telling me to use.
'Is it Tweeting or Twerking? I need a Gin.'

Among the stream of amusing tweets, Bryony said she was overwhelmed by the response to her profile
She then added: 'I am joking. Gin o'clock is 9pm. I'm just having a cheeky Mimosa.
'I hope everyone is having a very lovely day.'
In another Bryony wrote: 'I just noticed that when I stand up, I make very similar noises to my floor boards.'
On Sunday she joked: 'I'm going to bed now. I hope everybody had a great Easter.
'The best thing about being senile is that I hid my own Easter eggs.'
Followers have praised Bryony for lifting people's spirits amid the coronavirus lockdown
