New York comes out as Cuomo-sexual: Governor Andrew jokes that he's 'eligible' after survey revealed he and brother Chris are the city's most desirable men

New York governor Andrew Cuomo joked that he is 'eligible' after a matchmaker announced that he and brother Chris are the men most desired by her clients.
Andrew, 62, made the remark in an interview with a local radio station after anchor Susan Richard asked what he thought of the survey.
'I did not see that, but now that you raise it... my brother is married, I am not married, so I don't think he would qualify as eligible - however I am eligible,' he joked.

That prompted the 1010 WINS anchor to jibe back: 'Well, I just want to say we are both single Sagitarians from Queens. I'm just saying, I'm just putting it out there.'
'Sounds good to me,' Cuomo said, laughing.
The survey in question was carried out by 'executive' matchmaker Maureen Tara Nelson among 2,000 of her clients.
Participants were asked who their ideal man was - leading to a first-place tie between the New York governor and his CNN anchor brother.
It comes after both have found themselves on the frontlines of the coronavirus crisis.
Chris has detailed his own public battle with the disease, while Andrew has been leading the response in America's worst-hit state.
Nelson told the New York Daily News that hundreds of women have come to her saying 'find me someone like that' in reference to the brothers.
Andrew Cuomo, a father-of-four, is currently single having split from partner and celebrity chef Sandra Lee in September last year after 14 years together.
Prior to that he was married to Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert Kennedy, whom he wed in 1990. The pair separated in 2003 and divorced in 2005.
Meanwhile 49-year-old brother Chris is currently married to Cristina Greeven Cuomo, whom he wed in 2001.
The pair have two daughters and a son together.
Speaking about why the pair topped the most desirable stakes, Nelson said: 'I think under these stressful circumstances, women want a strong "take-charge" kind of guy, like the governor and someone who can live in a basement for three weeks and still look buff.
'Right now...the daily press updates make [Andrew] more visible and the ladies are eating up how he runs his briefings adding in personal information about himself.
'In fact, the banter between the Cuomo brothers is something all of my ladies are talking about.'
While Andrew claimed to be unaware of his surging popularity among New York's ladies, Chris was made painfully aware of the fact by daughter Bella after she showed him a video of a young admirer swooning over him on TikTok.
Bella shared a video of him rolling his eyes in disbelief before joking that it was 'so funny but so awkward'.
