Amanda Kloots shed tears as she revealed her husband Nick Cordero had suffered a setback on Wednesday.

Amanda was in her car when she broke the bad news, banging her head along to the song Carry On for emotional support before sharing the latest update.

'Okay guys, so here in the car to blast that song because I just needed some stereo sound strength. Nick has had a bad morning,' she began.
'Unfortunately, things are going a little downhill at the moment, so I am asking again for all the prayers, and mega prayers right now,' she said, holding back tears.
'I'm not going to be able to do live at 3pm... please cheer and please pray for Nick today, and I know that this virus is not going to get him down,' she said, crying.
'That's not how his story ends! So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers today, thank you!'

Until recently, Nick had been making good progress.
After waking from a six-week, medically-induced coma, the Broadway star experienced improvement in his cognitive abilities.
Amanda revealed Monday that his lung infection may be improving.
'They pulled out less secretions today from Nick's lungs than the last time they cleaned him out. So, that is great news, just because any time they go in there and there's less than before, it's good.'
'This is not how his story ends!' Kloots still managed to remain optimistic amid the painful circumstances
She continued: 'So, I'm gonna take that, and I'm gonna run with it tonight, and I'm gonna celebrate that small win.'
Nick has been through a horrific ordeal in the hospital.
He's had to have one of his legs amputated, his lungs have been severely damaged by the coronavirus and he suffered multiple mini-strokes, all of which might delay his recovery.
Nick, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the 2014 in the musical Bullets Over Broadway, first went to the ER on March 30 with a COVID-19 diagnosis, and was subsequently put into a medically-induced coma and ventilator.
Battling tears: Kloots did her best to deliver the tough message
Throughout it all, Amanda has been updating fans on his progress on social media, sparking the #wakeupnick hashtag and inspiring even Sylvester Stallone to share an uplifting message for Nick.
The fitness trainer was hopeful for her husband's future after he woke up from coma last week.
Speaking with Good Morning America last week, Amanda said doctors had told her the first step in his recovery was a sign of his mental response.
'They always end [our conversations] with, "We just need that mental status, we need to wake him up, we need him to wake up," and it's just been this heaviness that's kind of held over us for this time,' she explained.

So when Amanda received the news that her husband was finally showing signs of awareness, and responding to simple commands, she says she felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders.
'[On Tuesday] the doctor said, "I think we can officially say he is awake," and that was just the best news you could hear,' she said.
'For the first time, he started following commands, which was a huge deal. If he answers a question with a "yes", he looks up, and [if it's] a "no", he looks down. To finally hear the doctor say, "We're seeing these early early signs but I think it's happening," was a huge sigh of relief.'
Still, Amanda said they had 'a long road ahead of us.'
