Dizzee Rascal snaps at Piers Morgan for asking about BLM... with Susanna Reid forced to apologise when he SWEARS live on air in awkward chat

Dizzee Rascal snapped at Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan on Tuesday's show after he was asked a question about the Black Lives Matter movement.

In a chat about the concept of drive-in gigs, the TV personality, 55, asked for Dizzee's opinion on the White Lives Matter banner that was flown across a football match at the weekend, but was taken aback by the musician's reaction. 

The musician, 35, then accidentally swore live on air later in the conversation, leaving Piers' co-host Susanna Reid, 49, having to apologise to viewers at home.

After briefly talking about the gigs Dizzee was promoting, Piers asked 'what it means' to see a White Lives Matter protest.

The rapper bluntly replied: 'What makes you think I know?' 

Clearly thrown, Piers responded: 'You're a black man...'

'Am I the black spokesperson?' Dizzee snapped back, to which Piers asked: 'Don't you have a view?'

'I have a bunch of views but it's early,' Dizzee declared, referring to the fact that it was not even 9am yet.

Piers insisted that his view matters, to which Dizzee elaborated: 'I know it does but today is about the drive-in!

'I hope this is not a missed opportunity to talk about the badness that's happening. But it's really nice and sunny outside today and I can't really be bothered with all this this morning.

'I've brought my afro out, so I know I'm looking all natural and that - I don't know if that's why you've asked me the question...'

Piers took offence to this, interrupting: 'Oh come on that's not the reason...'

Dizzee continued his rant: 'You never let anyone speak, you're not going to do this to me mate, I'm not the one, let's keep it calm. I have a lot of views but now's not the time!

'Am I the black spokesperson?' Dizzee snapped back, to which Piers asked: 'Don't you have a view?'

Later: Piers took to Twitter to address the matter after the incident

'I can take any opportunity I want [to speak my mind], because of social media, but right now it will cause a bunch of whatever...'

Piers replied: 'I don't want to force you!' To which Dizzee snapped: 'You can't force me!'

'You're acting aggressively!' Piers remarked.

To which Dizzee retorted: 'I've become the aggressive black man!'

Both Piers and co-host Susanna seemed exasperated by this point, with Dizzee adding: 'I am not going to say anything. I'm going to p**s off both sides!' 

'I've brought my afro out, so I know I'm looking all natural and that - I don't know if that's why you've asked me the question...'

Susanna was forced to chime in and say: 'You mentioned that it's early in the morning. 

'That's one of the things we can't say, so let me say apologies for that particular word!'

But Dizzee asked 'what word' - clearly confused as to what he'd said.

Things were wrapped up by Piers saying: 'This has been oddly one of my favourite interviews of all time.'
