A woman pushing a stroller was choked and stabbed by her ex-boyfriend in a shocking attack in New York City.
The woman was attacked on a Bronx sidewalk by Carlos Gonzalez who took her in a chokehold, forced her to the ground and stabbed her 'multiple times', police say.
Surveillance footage shows the moment he assaulted her while her child and stroller were flung to the sidewalk on Sedgwick Avenue.
The 21-year-old mother and her child were both expected to recover in hospital but police are now hunting Gonzalez on assault charges after he fled the scene on Tuesday night.

The CCTV footage shows 25-year-old Gonzalez walking a short distance behind the woman as she pushes the stroller along the sidewalk past a row of parked cars.
According to NBC New York, the pair were having a 'verbal argument' which escalated into violence when Gonzalez lunged and grabbed his ex-girlfriend.
The footage shows Gonzalez grabbing her by the throat and dragging her to the ground, causing her to lose her grip on the stroller which tumbles to the ground.
Police say she suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack shortly after 7pm before Gonzalez fled, wearing a white T-shirt and yellow shorts.
The mother and child were both taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital where police said their condition was stable, but Gonzalez is still on the run.

Neighbors told News12 that a police car had tried to follow Gonzalez but he is still being hunted on suspicion of assault.
'I was coming from the store and saw the police coming up and next thing you know one of my neighbors told me a woman had been stabbed,' a witness said.
The neighborhood is usually peaceful and the violent incident has left locals 'shaken up', they said.
Gonzalez is said to be 5ft 10in tall with a thin build and long black hair in braids, and lives in Manhattan. Cops did not reveal the woman's identity.
