Shocking moment road rage driver leaps from car to attack bin lorry driver then returns to vehicle to pick up 'hammer' to smash dustman over head
A road rage driver jumped out of his car to confront and attack a bin lorry driver, before he rushed back to his car to pick up a weapon and hit a dustbin man over the head.
A man attacked workers from the City Bin Company after he was stopped behind the vehicle, that had seemingly stopped to collect bins from residential houses on Holywell Road in Donaghmede, Dublin.
Shocking footage from July 17 shows the driver recklessly swerve past a bin lorry and parked cars as a dustbin man in a driveway jumps back out of his way.

In the video, the man rushes out of his car and across to the bin lorry, opening the door of the van and climbing up to confront the driver.
The man can be heard shouting at the dustbin man, as he is apparently pushed away and kept at arms-length by the worker.
The van then starts reversing, as the person recording the footage shouts 'oh my god'.
The man walks away from the lorry raising his arms and continuing to shout as he returns to his black car.
But he rushes to the boot of his car and gets out a weapon before smashing a dustbin man, who is standing on a driveway, over the head with it.
The road rage driver then storms back to his vehicle and drives away as the worker is seen checking his head, where he has been hit.
The horrifying footage, taken by a resident on the street, has since been shared on social media, where users have expressed their anger at the scene.
BBC broadcaster Jeremy Vine shared the video on Twitter, saying: 'What's the story here? Apart from the fact that if you buy a metal box that says 120mph on the speedometer, and you rarely get beyond 10mph, at some point you become a little unhinged?'

Another user said: 'The story I see here is someone who isn't prepared to wait a few minutes for the lorry to move, whilst people do their job. A vital service. As a consequence of his entitlement/impatience, he is violent and abusive.'
The Gardai attended the scene and a man in his 30s was taken to Beaumont Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesperson said: 'Gardai are investigating an assault that occurred at Holywell Road, Donaghmede, this morning, Friday 17th July at approximately 10:10am. A male in his 30s was taken to Beaumont Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.'
In a statement on Twitter, The City Bin Company said: 'We're aware of a video circulating on social media this evening of an incident involving one of our City Bin crew today, and wanted to shed some light on the events.
'Earlier this morning, while providing an essential frontline service, two of our crew were subject to an unprovoked attack by a member of the public - leading to a serious assault on one of our helpers. Thankfully, our colleague has been discharged from hospital this evening and, though shaken by the incident, will make a full recovery.'
