President Trump Promises To 'Put Down' Rioters 'Within Minutes' If He Wins In November
President Donald Trump is done playing games with the rioters and looters of Black Lives Matter and Antifa.
Speaking to Fox News host Jeanine Pirro the president said if there are riots following the November presidential election, should he win, he will crush them.
“Let’s say there are threats. They say that they are going to threaten riots if they lose on election night, assuming we get a winner on election night. What are you going to do?” Pirro said.
“We’ll put them down very quickly if they do that. We have the right to do that. We have the power to do that if we want,” the president said.
The scenario is hypothetical but anyone who remembers the riots that followed his election in 2016 knows that more riots are probable if he wins again.
“Look, it’s called insurrection. We just send in, and we do it very easy. I mean, it’s very easy,” the president said.
“I’d rather not do that because there’s no reason for it, but if we had to, we’d do that and put it down within minutes. Within minutes,” he said.
The president has threatened to use federal agents to stop riots in the past, notably in June when he said he would use them if the governors and mayors could not get control of their cities and states.
“If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” he said.
The idea of protesting going on after the election was addressed by Democrat vice presidential candidate and California Sen. Kamala Harris.
The senator not only said she expects the protests to continue beyond the November election, she encouraged them to.
“I know there are protests still happening in major cities across the United States, I’m just not seeing the reporting on it that I had for the first few weeks,” the host of “The Late Show,” Stephen Colbert said to her in June.
“That’s right,” she said. “But they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna stop, and this is a movement, I’m telling you.”
“They’re not gonna stop, and everyone beware, because they’re not gonna stop,” she said. “They’re not gonna stop before Election Day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after Election Day.”
“Everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up — and they should not. And we should not,” she said.
