EXCLUSIVE - Taking it seriously: Ivanka and Jared go for a run in masks after the first family were seen without face coverings at the debate
Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were pictured running in masks Sunday, as it was revealed her father was given a steroid treatment and put on oxygen for COVID-19.
The couple were seen in their face coverings as they exercised together near their home in Washington DC on Sunday. Ivanka, the president's eldest daughter, and Jared, a senior adviser to Trump, both tested negative for the virus after the president and first lady Melania Trump were confirmed to have it Thursday evening.
President Trump remains in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where doctors said Sunday his blood oxygen level dropped suddenly twice in recent days.
Both Ivanka and Jared are thought to have not worn masks during parts of the first presidential debate last Tuesday.
Ivanka, along with first lady Melania and the president's other children Eric, Donald Jr, and Tiffany were wearing masks when they arrived at the Cleveland debate venue, but were later pictured watching the contest with their faces bare. Jared was seen in social media posts alongside Hope Hicks, who later tested positive for the virus, watching the debate without masks or social distancing, ABC reports.
According to NBC News, a Cleveland Clinic doctor in a white lab coat approached guests of the Trump family to ask them to put on masks. But the effort apparently did not succeed, and the doctor did not approach the president's family themselves. One debate hall staffer told the doctor 'that's all you can do' as the medic walked away.
By Sunday both Jared and Ivanka were in their masks. The parents of three each wore baseball caps; Ivanka teamed her hat with leggings and a sleeveless top, Jared opted for shorts and t-shirt.
Emerging first Ivanka held open the gate to their home for her husband of 11 years.

The comments add a new layer of confusion to the president's fight with COVID-19 even while suggesting he could be discharged from the hospital as early as Monday.
Posting Twitter Friday shortly after news of her father's positive test was made public, Ivanka said: 'Praying for the swift recovery of my father and Melania and for all those impacted by COVID-19. As they fight this together, the President will continue to fight for the people of this great country.'
She later retweeted a video of her father addressing the nation as he headed to hospital, writing: 'You are a warrior and will beat this. I love you dad', followed by the heart emoji.

Three hours later she followed up her message with a picture said to show her dad at work while in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, tweeting: 'Nothing can stop him from working for the American people. RELENTLESS!'
Doctors revealed that Trump was given a dose of the steroid dexamethasone after the drop in oxygen levels on Saturday.
That was in addition to the single dose he was given Friday of an experimental drug from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. that supplies antibodies to help the immune system fight the virus. Trump on Friday also began a five-day course of remdesivir, a Gilead Sciences drug currently used for moderately and severely ill patients.

Son Eric wrote in a tweet Friday: '@RealDonaldTrump is a true warrior. He will fight through this with the same strength and conviction that he uses to fight for America each and every day I ask you to join me in praying for his recovery. I have never been more proud of someone and what they have had to endure.'
Donald Trump Jr. said: 'Day two into it and he's working hard and looking great. That's our President.'
He added: 'Thanks to all those who so lovingly have reached out about @realDonaldTrump and the rest of the family. It truly means a lot to us.
I tested negative so I'll give it a few more days out of and abundance of caution and test again and if I'm clear I'll be back to work asap. No one is tougher than @realDonaldTrump and I look forward to him and @FLOTUS beating this fast.
'I thank you all for your prayers... please know that it means the world to us. That said even yesterday he was working hard for the American people.'
