Father, 32, who 'threw his two-month-old daughter to her death from second-story apartment is arrested at Vegas airport after trying to escape through baggage carousel'
A father suspected of throwing his infant daughter from a second-floor balcony to her death and setting his fiancee's apartment on fire in a jealous rage has been arrested at the Las Vegas airport after crawling through a baggage carousel.
Clarence Martin Jr, 32, remained jailed without bail awaiting a Tuesday court appearance at which he is expected to face charges of open murder, first-degree arson, torture of an animal and battery on a protected person.
The Clark County coroner said London Della Martin was almost 2 months old. She was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma to the head early Saturday at a local hospital. The infant's death has been ruled a homicide.

Martin is accused of throwing two-month-old London Della Martin to her death from a second-floor balcony in Las Vegas on Saturday
Police were called to Positano Apartments in Las Vegas early Saturday morning after Martin's fiancee reported that he had thrown their daughter from their terrace 22 feet above ground
Police Lt. Ray Spencer told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Martin set fire to the apartment he shared with the girl’s mother during an argument, fled in her car, crashed at least twice and ran into McCarran International Airport before he was arrested after making his way inside a restricted area.
According to an arrest report, police received a call at 3.45am on Saturday from London's mother, Nicole Poole, telling a dispatcher that her fiance, Martin, had thrown their baby from their second-floor balcony at Positano Apartments at 10115 Jeffreys Street.
Poole told police that she and Martin had been together for four years, and that she was aware that he had had 'mental issues' in the past, but she had not 'seen any issues' until this month.
Poole, who welcomed her daughter in late August, told police her fiance had not eaten or slept in three days leading up to the tragic events of Saturday.
Police say Martin then set fire to the living room, killing the family's pet poodle (pictured left). Poole said she was aware her fiance had had mental health issues in the past
Baby London was found not breathing in the parking lot at the apartment complex
A neighbor performed CPR on the infant before she was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries
The woman said she and London were asleep in her bed when Martin approached the mother and child, and kicked them.
Poole said she carried her daughter into the living room, but Martin followed them and took the baby from her.
According to the report, Martin then walked to the balcony with the infant in his hands, and returned a few seconds later without her.
Poole ran to the terrace and found her baby daughter laying motionless on the ground in the parking lot 22 feet below.
The mother rushed downstairs, picked up London, who was not breathing, and ran through the complex because she thought Martin was after her, according to the document.
As Poole called 911, a neighbor who had just returned home performed CPR on London.
The infant was rushed to St Rose Hospital, where she died of her injuries.
Martin, who stayed in the apartment, allegedly set fire to the living room, killing the family's white poodle that was locked in a cage. The arrest report stated that the pet likely died of exposure to the heat and smoke.
The 32-year-old man then got into Poole's white Mercedes Benz and sped away. A neighbor reported hearing Martin yell, 'burn, b****, burn. This is what you get for cheating on me,' reported Fox 5 Vegas.

Police who responded to the scene pursued Martin to the airport, where he abandoned the car, crawled onto a luggage conveyor belt and made his way into a secure area.
There, he allegedly donned a TSA Security shirt he had picked up from a break room, walked toward the tarmac and placed some items into an American Airlines van.
Police officers who arrived on the tarmac arrested Martin, who was heard yelling, 'burn, b****! Jeffreys Street! Jeffreys Street!'
Martin was taken to the hospital to be treated for unspecified medical issues.
He was later booked into the local jail. Martin's mugshot shows an officer's gloved hands holding in place the man's face contorted with rage and with his eyes shut.
A relative has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Poole with her daughter's funeral expenses.
'Rest In Heaven our precious baby London,' the fundraiser's description read. 'You will always hold a special place in all our hearts. You were treasured and loved before we even knew you sweet baby girl. Even if for only a short time, you were our beautiful little princess. Our hearts are completely broken.'
