Look who's back... two weeks before an election! Convicted sex offender Anthony Weiner denies HE cost Hillary the 2016 victory because of his underage sexting scandal

Anthony Weiner has emerged just two weeks before the election to deny his underage sexting scandal led Hillary Clinton to lose the 2016 presidential race and helped put Donald Trump in office.

The 56-year-old former Congressman and registered sex offender saw his career unravel in August 2016 when DailyMail.com revealed Weiner had been sexting a 15-year-old girl, which led to an FBI probe in which agents found e-mails from Hillary Clinton’s secret server.

Then just 11 days before the 2016 election then-FBI director James Comey notified Congress they were re-opening an investigation into Clinton’s storage of classified information on a private e-mail server citing Weiner’s laptop.

President Donald Trump said at a rally Monday that Hunter Biden's 'lap top from hell', that purportedly implicates Joe Biden in his son's overseas deals, reminded him of Weiner’s infamous computer.

The files found on the computer in 2016 cast Hillary Clinton and her aide, Huma Abedin, who is Weiner's wife under scrutiny.

'When you lose the election by 40,000 votes, or whatever it is, people come up with a lot of reasons that they think that Trump was elected,' Weiner said in a new interview with NBC New York.

Clinton had said that Comey’s letter to Congress was a key factor in her defeat in the election.

Weiner now says he’s leaving politics and his past scandals behind him and is moving forward as the CEO a glass countertops called IceStone, which has a factory in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

When asked if he still tweets Weiner said: 'No I don’t have a Twitter account, I don’t have Instagram, I don’t have any social media. There were a lot of bad habits that I no longer have in my life, thank God, one day at a time.'

'I am an embodiment of the idea that people sometimes redefine themselves and try to come back and try to be of value and that no one should be disposed of,' he said.

'We don’t want to be judged by our worst moments. We want to be judged on how we get up from those moments,' he added.

Weiner made it clear he no longer has any political aspirations.

'You’re not gonna see Anthony Weiner on the ballot any time soon,' he said.

'I am not going to be on the ballot any time in your kids lifetime, my kids lifetime, when I’m a great-grandfather, maybe I’ll think about it again,' he added.

Weiner had represented New York’s 9th congressional district from January 1999 through June 2011 when he resigned after he accidentally tweeted a crotch-shot of himself in his underwear to the public, on his official page.

In April 2013 he returned to politics by entering the New York City mayoral race. Scandal followed once again after additional explicit pictures were released and he admitted to sexting at least three women since his resignation from Congress.

After DailyMail.com exposed Weiner, he admitted to knowing that the victim, from North Carolina, was underage at the time of their exchanges.

On May 19, 2017 he pleaded guilty to one count of transferring obscene material to a minor and was jailed at Federal Medical Center, Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts.

He was released from prison in February 2019, and released from halfway house custody in May 2019.

When Weiner entered his 2017 guilty plea, his wife Huma Abedin filed for divorce.

Weiner and Abedin have since reconciled and were spotted out and about together last month in New York City. The couple share an eight-year-old son named Jordan.

'Thank God, my wife and son are doing good. My wife is still very active helping Hillary Clinton…Jordan is back at school. We’re very blessed,' he said.

Despite no longer being in politics, Weiner said he believes he’d be doing a better job than Mayor Bill De Blasio if he was in office.

'Bill De Blasio’s got a tough job. I believe I would have been a better Mayor or else I wouldn’t have run,' he said.
