Gov. Andrew Cuomo Throws a Fit Because President Trump Will Likely Be In Charge Of COVID Vaccine Distribution
Liberals have spent the past six months shouting “follow the science!” while vowing that nothing short of a vaccine for COVID-19 will be suffice to allow America to return to a sense of normalcy.
Luckily for all Americans, it was announced on Monday morning that Pfizer has made astonishing strides in the race to formulate a vaccine, making a massive clinical breakthrough that brings a potential vaccine to the market much sooner than anyone could have ever expected.
But according to Fox News, that’s just not good enough since President Donald Trump is still the president. That’s coming straight from “granny killer” and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who spent Monday morning raining down negativity on the exciting news that a vaccine could be near using the liberal favorite “orange man bad” theory.
His remarks came during an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopolous on Monday’s “Good Morning America.”
“Well, it’s good news, bad news, George,” Cuomo said. “The good news is the Pfizer tests look good and we’ll have a vaccine shortly. The bad news is it’s about two months before Joe Biden takes over, and that means this administration is going to be implementing a vaccine plan.”
Providing zero evidence to back his claim — and the claim of many other Trump Derangement Syndrome-infected Democrats — Cuomo suggested that the Trump administration’s probable method of vaccine distribution would purposely ignore certain communities.
“And the Trump administration is rolling out the vaccination plan and I believe it’s flawed,” Cuomo continued. “I believe it learns nothing from the past. They’re basically going to have the private providers do it, and that’s going to leave out all sorts of communities that were left out the first time when COVID ravaged them.”
Contrary to Cuomo’s implication that the vaccine will not be available to certain “communities” — which is code speak for minority communities since, you know, Trump is a raging racist — Trump has repeatedly stated that the U.S. military would oversee the distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Republican Sen. Ben Sasse was one of the first high-profile Trump allies to respond to Cuomo’s desperate ploy for attention, calling him stupid for attempting to politicize such an important development that will undoubtedly help millions of Americans and save lives.
“After this nasty virus has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans and put millions out of work, it is beyond disgusting that Governor Cuomo would use a glimmer of hope for another worn-out ‘Trump is bad’ talking point. When we get a vaccine, we’re going to need all hands on deck distributing it as fast as possible – shamelessly politicizing this is dangerous and stupid,” Sasse said.
And lastly, why on earth would anyone — political affiliation aside — listen to Cuomo about anything he has to say about the pandemic?
He will forever be known as the governor who categorically botched his state’s response to the pandemic and on top of that, is directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of senior citizens who he sent to die in what were essentially COVID-19 death camps, at the peak of the pandemic.
