Send in the cavalry: Mounted cops use their horses to break up brawl in Times Square
Two mounted police horses were used to break up a fight in the middle of New York's Times Square this weekend.
Shocking footage was posted to social media which provided a close-up of the action which showing several men throwing punches at one another before wrestling on the ground.
Bystanders attempted to stop the fight but it was only when a police horse trampled over the group that things started to calm down.

Several men were fighting among one another right in the center of Times Square
As the men lay on the ground, another man quickly picked up a nearby biked and rode off.
Screams could be heard from those gathered nearby who were transfixed by the violence.
The fight saw a 20-year-old man left with a bloody mouth after claimed to have been punched by another man. He was treated at the scene by emergency responders.
In a second clip taken by the same user on Instagram, more fists were thrown in another section of the Manhattan landmark.

A man could be seen with his face covered in blood as he threw another person against a wall while a third man attempted to step in.
A couple of NYPD officers, this time on foot, rushed in to break up the brawl.
On this occasion, a 22-year-old man fell and was kicked in the head after arguing with another group of men according to the New York Post.
The man was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment according to police.
The fights both broke out around 9pm on Sunday night, although it is still unclear what triggered the punch-ups.
The NYPD say that so far there have been no arrests but an investigation is underway.
