Texas man, 47, is arrested as cops find multiple homemade bombs in his home after he made threats to a family member while going through an 'ugly divorce'
A Texas man was arrested Tuesday after homemade bombs were found inside his home just months after he made threats to a family member, authorities said.
John Christopher Crawson, 47, first got under the radar of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office in mid-January after it was reported that he made the threat, Lt. Jason Braeutigam said at a press conference, Patch.com reports.
Crawson was detained at around 8am at his residence on the 2500 block of Santa Barbara Loop just outside of Round Rock.

At Crawson's home, authorities found 'several' improvised explosive devices. Six homes in the nearby vicinity had to be evacuated.
Officers from the Austin Police Department's bomb unit and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives reported to the scene to assist in the removal of the explosives.
Braeutigam said that it was currently unclear whether the bombs were made at the home or bought elsewhere. And while authorities would not elaborate on the family disagreement, they did state that Crawson was going through an ugly divorce.

Crawson was charged with making terroristic threat to a family member.
Neighbors from the community came together to release a statement, expressing their pain at the situation.
'We're very close-knit,' Sonia Guardado said of the neighbors, Austin American-Statesman. 'We're all hurting right now.'
