Chrissy Teigen has parted ways with retail giant Target, it was revealed on Thursday, just a day after the model apologized to Courtney Stodden for telling the teen bride to commit suicide in resurfaced tweets from 2011.
TMZ reported that Target removed her cookware line Cravings by Chrissy Teigen last month, but a source close to Teigen tells DailyMail.com that the partnership ended in December last year and had nothing to do with the controversy.
While Target's website is no longer displaying Teigen's range - which she launched with them exclusively in 2019 - they are still selling three of her cookbooks.
The source adds that Teigen and Target parted ways 'amicably' with the model preferring to sell her cookware range through her own website as well as other retailers.
Target confirmed the news to DailyMail.com in a statement on Thursday, saying: 'We made the mutual decision in December to no longer carry the cookware line, given our continued focus on brands we develop and that can only be found at Target.'
Stodden first made the claims against the model as early as April last year in an Instagram post saying they felt bullied by her.

The offending tweets were then resurfaced in March this year when Teigen temporarily quit Twitter and Stodden called her out for being a hypocrite over her past bullying behavior.
Teigen began working with retailer Target in 2019, offering around 40 products from her kitchenware collection with prices ranging from $4 to $140.
Yesterday, Teigen, 35, issued a lengthy apology to Stodden over abusive tweets and direct messages that she sent in 2011, where she encouraged the former teen bride to end her life.
'I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be,' Teigen tweeted on Wednesday. 'I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior.'
Earlier this week, Stodden, 26, who recently came out as non-binary, revealed that Teigen 'would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself' on Twitter, after Teigen had publicly insulted the model on the social media platform telling them to 'go to sleep forever.'
Stodden - who has shared their new pronouns, they/them/their - first addressed the abusive tweets in an Instagram post last year, and said they had not received an apology from Teigen.

However, the wife of John Legend has since fully admitted her wrongdoing, tweeting: 'Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls*** in front of the entire world. I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be.'
'I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I'm so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am.'
Teigen added: 'And I am so sorry I let you guys down. I will forever work on being better than I was 10 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago.'
Stodden - who was just 16 years old at the time - revealed this week: '[Chrissy] wouldn't just publicly tweet about wanting me to take "a dirt nap" but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, "I can't wait for you to die."'

'Is it okay to call a small child cocky?' Teigen tweeted at the time when Wallis had been nominated for an Oscar in 2013. 'I am forced to like Quvenzhané Wallis because she's a child right? Okay fine.'
Teigen, 35, appeared to suggest that the young actress had come across as precocious at the ceremony, where she had been nominated for her turn in Beasts of the Southern Wild. But facing backlash at the time, Teigen later deleted the tweet.
Satirical website The Onion famously mocked Teigen at the time, posting a joke based on her comment that read: 'Everyone else seems afraid to say it, but that Quvenzhané Wallis is kind of a c***, right?' but they also deleted their tweet, and apologized to Teigen.
Writer Clarkisha Kent brought up the incident in light of Teigen's apology to Stodden yesterday, writing: 'Apologize to Quvenzhané Wallis as well... I hope this is the day you realize that some things come with their own punishment & that projecting your self-hate onto others isn't "quirky."'

Stodden claimed yesterday that Teigen 'never' reached out to them privately to apologize for the abusive tweets and direct messages that she sent in 2011.
'I accept her apology and forgive her. But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private,' wrote Stodden via Instagram on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old also said they had been 'blocked' by Teigen on Twitter, which is where the model had chosen to issue her apology to Stodden earlier that day.
'In fact, she blocked me on Twitter,' Stodden wrote, followed by a screengrab showing that they were unable to view Chrissy's account due to being allegedly blocked.
'All of me wants to believe this is a sincere apology, but it feels like a public attempt to save her partnerships with Target and other brands who are realizing her "wokeness" is a broken record,' Courtney concluded.
Stodden was referencing to Teigen's highly successful Cravings empire, which has produced various kitchenware and cookware lines, two popular cookbooks, and a full fledged lifestyle website.
