SNL ratings dive to lowest level EVER one week after Elon Musk's hosting gig
Saturday Night Live fell by more than half from last week to its lowest ratings ever of just 3.5million.
Keegan Michael Key hosted Saturday's show with mixed results. Two hilariously memorable sketches included Key playing on overly competitive Michael Jordan and a security guard busting the heckling old men Muppets, Statler and Waldorf.
But the comedian, who is one half of the Key & Peele show, also appeared in a strange skit as a sex-obsessed DJ. The music artist was teen singing sensation, Olivia Rodrigo.
Only 3.5million tuned in to watch the episode - just under half of the 7.3million who watched Elon Musk's first time as host last week.
Musk's show was the third most-watched episode for the season behind the ones hosted by Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock, according to Nielsen figures.

While Musk may have sent ratings soaring, the show appears to have been catastrophic for him, wiping $20billion off his net worth and even sending dogecoin crashing by more than 22 per cent during the first hour of the show, from 66 cents to 51 cents.
Next week finishes the season with Anya Taylor Joy and Lil Nas X.
Key kicked off Saturday's show with an all singing monologue that referenced his old comedy partner Jordan Peele.
The 50-year-old funnyman opened the floor for an audience Q&A during his opening monologue which also included a song.
In a hilarious bit one of the questions clearly intended for Jordan went: 'What was it like winning an Oscar for "Get Out?"'
Key was left to explain that he was, in fact, the member of the duo who had not won an Oscar.
The dashing comedian, who was dressed in a three-piece suit, showed he was a talented multi-hyphenate by breaking into song.
In the footsteps of a legend: Keegan went on to play Michael Jordan in a sketch of deleted footage from the smash hit docu-series The Last Dance
Look who it is: The clip was meant to demonstrate Michael's competitive streak and showed him playing quarters on a wall with his elderly security chief John Wozniak
'I’m gonna do it all tonight. / Every single SNL thing tonight. / Sketches and voices and songs tonight. / Like the one I’m singing now. / Oooh, costume change!'
He then tore off his slacks to reveal that he was just wearing another pair of identical black slacks underneath them.
Cecily Strong appeared onstage to attempt unsuccessfully to urge Keegan into the finale but he kick-started the Q&A instead.
When Keegan was asked his favorite cast member Kenan Thompson arrived on the scene and planted himself next to the host.
'I just wanted to stand next to you so everybody can see that we are two different people and we have two different names,' he said.

During their first round John won and Michael said in a confessional that 'I was happy for him, but he did that little shrug and I took that personally.'
Then came a sketch in which Keegan and Kenan played bouncers working a live broadcast of the Muppet Show.

Melissa Villasenor played an exasperated Lily Tomlin who had agreed to guest star on the Muppet Show and was seriously regretting it.
'Why do I always say yes to stuff like this? I don’t know,' she said early on in the sketch in a tone of abject exhaustion.
As Kermit the Frog attempted to do his schtick the famous opera box puppets Statler and Waldorf repeatedly heckled him about how lousy his performance was.
Keegan and Kenan's bouncer characters then arrived onstage and repeatedly told them that they needed to keep quiet.
When Statler and Waldorf protested that they were part of the show Kenan informed him: 'We don't give a hot damn about the show.'
'We work for the venue!' Keegan explained adding that 'Everybody here paid good money for this little dragon and his friends to do they little thing.'
A strange sketch later saw Keegan play an American DJ while Cecily played an English singer called Gemma who gave a customized performance for Kenan's birthday.
Their first number was a song about the coronavirus vaccine as a euphemism for sex with Keegan repeatedly intoning: 'Stick it to me.'
