The Big Terrorist Lie and the Growth of the Surveillance State – Feds Are Using Far-Left Operatives from SPLC, ADL, ACLU in Pentagon ‘Working Group’
An important articles out today that highlights the dangerous road our American republic is traveling–the Federal Government, in the name of combating terrorism, is unconstitutionally spying on Americans and, at the same time, increasing the personnel and infrastructure required subvert our freedoms.
The article by Ken Klippenstein, writing for the Intercept, describes a new Pentagon “Working Group” comprised largely of left-wing ideologues with a demonstrated bias against conservatives. Unfortunately, Ken’s editors at the Intercept had him focus on only two of the 18 names on the list–Michael Berry and Anat Agron and leave the impression that right-wing extremists have inflitrated the Working Group. But they are the only two with links to conservative groups.
If you take a closer look at the attached list you will see that at least 7 of the 18 members of this “Working Group” are or have been affiliated with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) or the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) or the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). These three groups have a disturbing history.
Why is the SPLC so heavily represented in this group? It has a long, proven track record of targeting Christian and conservative organizations as “terrorist” organizations. Do you recall the attempted massacre in Silver Spring, Maryland in 2012 of the Family Research Council?
inspired by SPLC’s “hate map,” a gunman walked into the Family Research Council (FRC) in Washington, intending to massacre the staff and then stuff Chick-fil-A sandwiches in their faces.
FRC is among many Christian organizations targeted by the SPLC for pro-family stances. During the 1990s, FRC helped draft the Defense of Marriage Act and defended the right of the military and the Boy Scouts to adhere to traditional morality. Over the years, FRC has produced a mountain of meta-research papers that debunk the many spurious studies fed to the media by the LGBTQ activist movement.
There is a similar problem of extreme leftist bias with the ADL, which is led by Jonathan Greenblatt. Dov Fischer, writing in the American Spectator, describes Greenblatt as:
a hardened “progressive,” [who] served as special assistant to the president in the Obama White House. He is an Obama acolyte through and through. From the day that he arrived, he converted the ADL into a markedly left-focused organization. Under Greenblatt, ADL has focused almost exclusively on combating right-wing hate and also attacking conservative non-haters among Republicans, Fox News anchors, and the like — while giving virtually free passes to the Left.
And when was the last time that the ACLU took a stand to protect the Constitutional rights of a conservative leader or organization? Crickets.
Over its 100-year history, the ACLU has—to its credit—vexed both sides of the political aisle because it refused to compromise the principles of its “civil libertarianism.”
Sadly, that is no longer the case. In recent years, the group has retreated from its principles when they clash with trendy left-wing priorities.
By now, the ACLU’s retreat from the First Amendment is well documented. It will not defend the First Amendment rights of pro-life pregnancy centers or small religious businesses. It no longer defends religious freedom, although it once did. And in a leaked internal memo, the ACLU takes the position that free speech denigrating “marginalized groups” should not be defended.
Sadder yet, however, is the ACLU’s recent abandonment of the right to due process. For a group founded to help the powerless, this is a repudiation of its founding ideals.
When you consider the extreme bias against conservative individuals and organizations demonstrated by a majority of the members of this working group it is not a conspiracy theory to point out that the conclusion of this group is baked in from the start. They will decry “white supremacy” and focus on the domestic terrorist threat that white Christians represent.
We already see Defense Department leadership moving aggressively to quash any officer who dares question in public the Marxist tilt of the Biden Administration policy. Cristina Laila’s recent report on Lt. Colonel Matthew Lohmeier is the latest example:
Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, a former fighter pilot, was a commander of a unit that detected ballistic missile launches and was relieved of his duties on Friday by Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, Military.com reported.
Lohmeier earlier this month self-published a book titled, “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military.”
January 6, 2021 was not an insurrection. Trump supporters that entered the U.S. Capitol killed no one. Property damage was negligible, except for the feces stained underwear of several hysterical members of Congress. But these facts have no silenced the chorus of fear mongers who, in the best tradition of Josef Goebbels, shout down anyone who tries to present actual facts and evidence. This group of modern Nazi-styled propagandists includes notable RINOs like Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and Mitt Romney, not to mention a horde of media shills.
The real news in the Klippenstein piece is that there is an Extremist Working group and it is trying to ferret out “rightwing” extremists. The only problem is with the definition of extremism. If you are white, Christian, male and heterosexual you are by the new definition an extremist. That is our Orwellian America at present.
