Gwen Berry Slammed White People, Joked About Rape, Mocked Mexicans and Asians in Newly Unearthed Tweets

 Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry is in more hot water after newly unearthed tweets show she slammed white people, made jokes about rape and mocked Mexicans and Asians.

First here is a bit of background:

“After she finished third in the hammer throwing event at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon, which guaranteed her a spot on Team USA, the top three finishers stood on the medal podium. “The Star-Bangled Banner” was played as winner DeAnna Price, second-place finisher Brooke Andersen and Berry waited to receive their medals.

As if it were kryptonite, Berry turned her back to the American flag, according to the New York Post. In case anyone missed her message, she held up a shirt that said “Activist Athlete.”

“Arrogant Athlete” would have been more accurate.

It turned out that Berry believed they played the national anthem just to spite her. Please get over yourself, Gwen.

Following the award ceremony, she told reporters, “I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose. I was pissed, to be honest.”

“They had enough opportunities to play the national anthem before we got up there,” Berry said. “I was thinking about what I should do. Eventually I stayed there and I swayed, I put my shirt over my head. It was real disrespectful.”

While Berry made waves with her disrespect of our country’s flag and national anthem what followed next was even more disturbing and disappointing.

The majority of the tweets were published in 2011, while just a few were posted in 2012.

In one tweet from March 2012, Berry said, “[Shout out] to all the females that’s gon get drunk, get recked by 4 dudes, then cry rape this weekend.” In another from 2012, she said, “I’m about to rape my lunch.”

Numerous tweets targeted white people.

“White people are sooo retarded when they are drunk,” she said in 2011. “This lil white boy being bad as hell!! I would smack his ass then stomp him!! Smh #whitepplKids hella disrespectful,” she wrote in June 2011.

Berry also targeted Mexicans and Chinese people.

“Mexicans just don’t care about ppl,” a tweet posted to Berry’s account in 2012 said. “Just saw this gurl wearing heels with white socks!! What the Hell..#chineseppl always try to start new trends..smh..ggguuurrrllll,” Berry said in 2011.

As the New York Post noted, Berry has deleted some of the problematic tweets after they were uncovered.

Imagine the outraged reaction of the media and the left if Berry was white and old tweets were discovered that disparaged minorities and gays. They would demand she be kicked off the team.

But of course Berry is black, so she responded to criticism over her past tweets by attempting to brush it aside and making a very odd comparison to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh:

Gwen Berry is a total disgrace and should not be allowed to compete in the Olympics to represent this great country. Anyone who refuses to respect our flag and our country should find another country to live in and to compete with.

While Berry is a disgrace what has been even worse is the reaction of Democrat leaders like Joe Biden who offers her support and encouragement.
