Eric Greitens: Biden Can’t Stand the Truth About January 6 – Or Anything Else

 

President Abraham Lincoln famously said, “I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.”

Less than a year since being sworn into office, Joe Biden has steered our nation into crisis after crisis. By any sane measure, Joe Biden’s administration is a complete and total failure.  

President Trump pursued a peace through strength foreign policy.  Historic peace agreements followed.  Joe Biden has pursued a policy of weakness and apology, which led to the disaster in Afghanistan, which killed 13 service members, including Marine Cpl. Jared Schmitz from my home state of Missouri.  China now regularly flies nuclear-capable aircraft through Taiwanese airspace.  The Russians have signed a military cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia.  

President Trump sought a secure border.  Since Joe Biden took office, our country’s southern border is now completely open, and has become an international transit point for drug traffickers and human smugglers.  I was down at the border, in Mexico, where thousands of people from all over the world toss their IDs by the riverside before they walk into America.  

With Biden in office, violent crime has skyrocketed in virtually every major city in America. Americans are murdered, families are torn apart by the violence, businesses are smashed and looted and the left—who pushed the defund the police narrative–wonders why.

Only a short time ago, with President Trump in office, America was the world’s number one producer of energy. Today, Joe Biden begs OPEC to increase oil production.  Inflation surges, and the cost of energy has gone through the roof.  

Joe Biden would be judged incapable of running a local grocery store, yet his leftist administration believes that it can and should manage every aspect of your life—covering your children’s and grandchildren’s faces with masks, closing businesses and churches.  They push critical race theory into schools.  They censor people for asking questions.  They attack anyone—parents, police officers, doctors–who fails to toe the leftist line.     

In an unholy alliance, the self-humiliating mainstream media and weak, woke RINOs have gone to great lengths to offer Joe Biden cover and concealment from the real facts– by omission, commission, and blatant lies. Sometimes, as with Biden’s Green New Deal infrastructure policies, RINOs have helped to advance the left’s crazy agenda.  

As January 6th nears, it’s important for Americans to know all the facts.  And considering the unbelievable lengths the corrupt media, the radical Left, and the weak Republican establishment have gone in their efforts to take down the America First movement, we should ask: why wouldn’t they lie about January 6th?

As we now know, the concerted crusade against Donald Trump began way before he was ever President. Barack Obama, Susan Rice, and other corrupt underlings brought about the now-debunked Russia Collusion hoax, boughtand paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

For three years, this complete fabrication was peddled by Democrats and anti-Trump RINOs.

Then, they distorted President Trump’s call with Ukraine while ignoring the corrupt business dealings of Joe and Hunter Biden.  They censored the stories of Hunter’s laptop, and fabricated a completely concocted narrative that information about the Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.  

They lied about Brett Kavanaugh.  They lied about the origins of the coronavirus.  

Yet come 2020–despite four years of hellacious media coverage and back stabbings from do-nothing RINOs—it was clear that President Trump and the MAGA movement were still standing strong.

Nothing had worked–so the Democrats quietly began their fail safe plan: compromise the 2020 election. The Constitution gives authority to state legislatures to decide the time, place, and manner of elections.  Yet swing states began to unconstitutionally change their election procedures.  Republican poll watchers were denied entry to ballot counting. Hundreds of sworn affidavits were signed by citizens who witnessed misconduct.  Just this week, a whistleblower admitted to illegal ballot harvesting in Georgia.

America was watching and Americans wanted answers. On January 6, 2021 and in the days that followed–Democrats and establishment RINOs dealt their final card in their effort to install Joe Biden as Commander-in-Chief, with their drive-by impeachment of President Trump.

On January 6, 2021 and the weeks following, I was on television every night exposing the lies being told about that day. On my show, investigative reporter John Solomon and I discussed bombshell after bombshell.

Only one person was murdered in the US Capitol that day: an unarmed Trump supporter.

In Stalinist fashion, Joe Biden’s administration later raided the homes of countless citizens who peacefully entered the Capitol that day, while they turned a blind eye to the political violence from the summer of 2020.

The disgraceful January 6 committee featuring the likes of Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney has become an instrument of political retribution against those tied to President Trump, past and present.  They use the commission to attack the President’s allies–Steve Bannon, Bernie Kerik, Mark Meadows, and others.

Yet they refuse to investigate key questions, like what did Nancy Pelosi know, and when did she know it?  Why did Pelosi reject offers for thousands of National Guard soldiers to assist with security?  Why does the government continue to conceal 14,000 hours of video taken inside and outside the capitol building that day?  What relationship did men like Ray Epps—who incited people to go into the capitol–have with the FBI, and why hasn’t Mr. Epps been charged?  

When I serve in the US Senate, we’re going to have a full and courageous examination of all the facts relating to January 6th.  Like President Lincoln, I believe in the people.  And, unlike the RINOs who refuse to ask the questions and the mainstream media who refuse to investigate the truth, I believe that the people are entitled to all the facts.
