“Family Friendly” Disney Makes Revolting Decision To Turn Their Backs on Small Children… Will Support Woke Adults Instead
On Monday, Disney CEO Bob Chapek crumbled under the Left-wing pressure to openly condemn Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which seeks to ban lessons on gender identity and sexual orientation at elementary schools throughout the state. Chapek held a company-wide meeting to apologize for trying to keep Disney neutral on the issue and grovel at the feet of the LGBTQ+ community.
Chapek previously stated that, while he is in full support of the LGBTQ+ community, he didn’t think it would be wise to align the entire Disney corporation behind the movement fighting the bill. “As we have seen time and again, corporate statements do very little to change outcomes or minds,” said Chapek. “Instead, they are often weaponized by one side or another to further divide and inflame. Simply put, they can be counterproductive and undermine more effective ways to achieve change.”
However, after incredible backlash from the Left, and plans by Disney employees to stage a walkout in protest, Chapek has totally backpedaled and succumbed to the pressure, ultimately choosing to give Disney an official stance on the matter after all.
“It is clear that this is not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights. You needed me to be a stronger ally in the fight for equal rights and I let you down,” said Chapek in a letter to his employees. “I am sorry.”
Disney also released a statement on their Instagram publically opposing the bill. “We oppose any legislation that infringes on basic human rights, and stand in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ Cast, Crew and Imagineers and fans who make their voices heard today and every day,” the statement reads.
However, a bill to keep sex education out of schools’ curriculum until 3rd grade is hardly infringing on “basic human rights”.
The Disney CEO has also announced a special “task force” to “develop action plans to make more LGBT-aware content for children and family.” The task force will work to create a plan to make Disney a “force for good” for LGBTQ+ communities.
He also added that all donations to elected officials in Florida would be stopped.
Disney’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Paul Richardson, also announced that the company will be taking action against Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s order to investigate “sex-change” procedures for children as a form of child abuse.
Richardson reportedly said, “Because of our presence in Texas, we want you to know that we’ve signed on to the Human Rights Campaign’s letter opposing the Texas bill that criminalizes parents who provide for their transgender children gender-affirming care.”
And that’s not all… Chapek and his senior leaders are, for additional public repentance, going on a ‘global listening tour’ to meet with gay, trans, and non-binary Disney employees across the world.
As Chapek travels to all Disney locations and offices, he will continue to apologize for not openly forcing his company to ‘take a side’ until those that were offended forgive him.
