Twitter locks account of Federalist editor after he states the obvious about Rachel Levine and warns, 'Big Tech will eventually silence everyone who dissents from their woke ideology'
Twitter has locked the account of a senior editor at the Federalist, John Daniel Davidson, over a post in which Davidson referred to Admiral Rachel Levine as "a man."
Levine, a biological man who identifies as a woman, is the Assistant Secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
"Big Tech will eventually silence everyone who dissents from their woke ideology. They're not even trying to hide it anymore. If you say Rachel Levine is a man, they will come after you. Doesn't matter that Levine is in fact a man. Truth is no defense," Davidson tweeted.
The Federalist reported that the social media company blocked Davidson's tweet from being publicly viewable and notified Davidson that he must delete the post to get the account restored.
"Twitter has locked @johnddavidson out of his account unless he retracts his true tweet below. He will not bend the knee to the censors. Twitter’s evil war on free speech and debate is authoritarian and harmful to the country," the Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway tweeted.
This represents yet another instance of Twitter punishing those who deviate from the doctrines of radical leftist gender ideology — a number of prominent Twitter accounts have recently been slapped down by the social media giant for posts related to Levine.
The Babylon Bee, a satire website, had its account locked earlier this month, but CEO Seth Dillon declared that the company will not delete the post in order to regain access: "We're not deleting anything. Truth is not hate speech. If the cost of telling the truth is the loss of our Twitter account, then so be it," he tweeted.
Charlie Kirk's account was also slapped down by the social media company over a tweet related to Levine. And Twitter also took issue with a tweet on Fox News host Tucker Carlson's account — that post, which referenced the offending tweets from Kirk and the Babylon Bee, stated, "But wait. Both these tweets are true."
