Woke Librarian Suspended On Twitter For Hate Speech Outrages Parents At Elite Manhattan School

 Parents at an elite Manhattan school are outraged over an ultra-woke school librarian who was suspended on Twitter this month for posting hate speech.

Ingrid Conley-Abrams, 43, is an elementary school librarian at the Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in Manhattan, where tuition hovers around $60,000.

The uber-progressive librarian has not been shy about promoting her beliefs and opinions online over the years. Her Twitter bio included the phrase “Gender is fake” before it was deleted.

Conley-Abrams’ opinions may not be confined to the library, either. She frequently teaches in classrooms, according to three mothers who spoke with the New York Post.

Earlier this month, parents at the upscale private school came across a 2015 tweet in which she lashed out at straight white males.

“Burn White Straight Male Librarianship to the ground,” Conley-Abrams wrote in the problematic tweet.

Twitter suspended the librarian’s Twitter account over the old tweet this month.

Several parents are incensed over Conley-Abrams’ presence at the school. At least one mother said she has been upset about it for years.

“How can I feel comfortable sending my white 9-year-old son into her library or classroom?” the mother told the Post. “What if my son wants to be a librarian? How safe and nurtured are my kids going to be by this person?”

Parents also said Conley-Abrams was introduced as a gender expert on a school panel titled, “Talking to Children about Anatomy, Gender, Sexuality, Puberty and Pregnancy.” The 2020 panel was aimed at pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first-grade students.

“Ingrid was introduced as a ‘gender expert’ on the panel, which was weird enough to begin with but is typical of what’s going down at New York City private schools,” one mother told the Post. “Why is a librarian also a ‘gender expert’? And why is there a panel about talking about gender and sex and pregnancy to 4 and 5-year-olds?”

In 2020, Conley-Abrams called her library “godless” and complained about the school’s students going on to study at Ivy League colleges.

“Sadly, the students at my school only go on to Ivy League colleges so I’ve truly failed them with my queer, free-wheeling godless radical hotbed of a library. :(,” Conley-Abrams tweeted in 2020.

As of Wednesday, Conley-Abrams appears to have deleted her entire Twitter account.

Conley-Abrams has tweeted about being non-binary, including saying, “I am not a woman,” and has also tweeted about her husband, whose LinkedIn shows he is also a librarian at Manhattanville College just north of New York City.

Parents across the country have been raising the alarm about teachers pushing a progressive ideology about sex and gender on students.

In Utah, parents held a protest this month to object to an elementary school teacher who was disciplined by her school after posting a TikTok saying she talked to her students about sexuality. She was hired again and is now teaching even younger children at a new school.

In Iowa, a parents advocacy group is suing an Iowa school district for allegedly hiding children’s gender transitions from parents. The group says the Linn-Mar Community School District near Cedar Rapids concealed “gender support plans” from parents.
