Mystery Surrounds Murder of Man in NYC ‘Home Invasion,’ Sources Suggest Murderer May Have Been His Trans Daughter
61-year-old Carlo Secondino was murdered in his Brooklyn apartment Thursday in an incident the police initially suggested was a home invasion.
But according to sources at The New York Post, the killer might have been closer to home. Sources suggest that Secondino’s trans daughter may be involved.
A 61-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his Brooklyn apartment Thursday during what cops initially said was a home invasion — but may actually have been a murder committed by his own daughter, sources told The Post.
Sources said Carlo Secondino’s 22-year-old trans daughter is believed to have concocted the tall tale about a break-in at the family’s Bensonhurst home in order to cover her tracks.
Police had said two robbers broke into the family’s home on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street around 6 a.m. and demanded money from a safe before killing the dad and injuring both of his daughters.
The younger sister, 19, was rushed to Maimonides Hospital, where she was in critical condition, while the father died at the scene, according to police.
The older sister — who allegedly cooked up the story about the robbers, according to sources — was taken to Langone Hospital. She has not been charged.
Cops said there was no safe in the home. No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning.
