New Soros-Backed DA Wreaking Havoc In California
Amidst all the righteous indignation over Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicting a former president, don’t neglect another George Soros-backed prosecutor wreaking havoc in California.
In Oakland, new District Attorney Pamela Price is implementing the kind of policies that have contributed in large part to the skyrocketing crime that we see around the country. For instance, Price attempted to grant a plea deal that would have cut a triple murder sentence to just 15 years, instead of the 75-to-life sentence typically doled out for those types of heinous acts, Fox News reported.
Thankfully a judge blocked that from happening, but that isn’t the only questionable case Price has seen come her way. Price has been so determined to not incarcerate any criminal that two veteran prosecutors have resigned because they were unable to fulfill their legal duties.
“It became really clear during my time that… [Price] didn’t care about the victims,” ex-prosecutor Charly Weissenbach said in a statement. “She cared more about the criminal defendants and how she can undo what she believes are historical injustices by creating what appears to be anarchy.”
In another example, emails from Price appear to suggest that she is going to seek punishment for the alleged killer of a 2-year-old child that does not include any jail time, ABC 7 reported.
Toddler Jasper Wu lost his life due to a stray bullet during a gunfight between rival gangs. That tragedy happened in 2021.
When a concerned citizen reached out to Price’s office for the latest details on the case, the DA responded in part by saying, “Our office is currently working on a partnership with the Asian Law Caucus to support AAPI victims of violence in ways that open up broader possibilities for healing and non-carceral forms of accountability,” the local ABC affiliate reported. (emphasis added)
One former veteran prosecutor, Norbert Chu, told ABC 7, “If I were Jasper’s parents, I would be highly offended. And I would be very fearful.” Chu added that “non-carceral” means no prison time.
In reaction to the potential plan, Wu’s family issued a statement, saying, “There are almost no consequences due to no threat of severe punishments waiting. How would that restore the public’s faith in the justice system? How would the public feel safe?”
Unfortunately, that’s the question millions of Americans are asking as Soros-backed prosecutors — who now represent 20% of America according to author Matt Polumbo — continue to dismantle the justice system and allow criminals to roam the streets.
