‘She’s Just Not That Smart’: AOC Scrambles To Defend Herself After Elon Musk Takes Swipe

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) scrambled on Wednesday to defend herself after X CEO Elon Musk said the congresswoman is “just not that smart.”

The commentary was sparked after AOC criticized House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) over a looming government shutdown.

“Boy math is needing 15 attempts to count the votes correctly to become Speaker and then shutting down the government 9 months later,” Ocasio-Cortez posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Political commentator Ashley St. Clair chimed in to criticize AOC, writing, “Girl math is saying immigrants coming legally through Ellis Island is the same as 3 million undocumented migrants pouring through our border and costing NYC $1,000,000,000 to house migrants for free in hotels.”

Musk responded to St. Clair’s post about AOC, posting, “She’s just not that smart.”

AOC quickly boasted of her accomplishments in response. “I wasn’t born rich and became the youngest woman in American history to be elected to Congress,” she wrote. “Then I investigated Cohen, authored the largest FEMA funeral assistance program in history and led creation of a US Climate Corps to create tens of thousands of new jobs. Stay mad.”

St. Clair snarked, “You grew up in the wealthy suburbs of Westchester County. Drop the Bronx shtick at the very least girly pop.”

The New York City representative has had numerous public battles with critics. Notably, back in 2022, when Ocasio-Cortez fled New York City for COVID lockdown-free Florida, she claimed her GOP critics actually just want to date her.

“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos,” she wrote, referring to a photo of herself with her now-fiancé.

“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women, & LGBT+ people in general,” AOC claimed.

“These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird,” she added.

Similarly, back in 2018, AOC claimed Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro was “catcalling” her after he challenged her to a public debate for charity.

Commenting on a screenshot, AOC wrote, “Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions. And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one.”

“Discussion and debate are not ‘bad intentions,'” Shapiro shot back. “Slandering someone as a sexist catcaller without reason or evidence does demonstrate cowardice and bad intent, however.”

“But sure, go with ‘the Orthodox Jew who has never catcalled a woman in his life is ACKSHUALLY a sexist catcaller for asking for a discussion or debate,'” he added. “I’m sure your media sycophants will eat it up.”
