Bill Clinton’s Name Mentioned Over 50 Times In Redacted Epstein Filings: Report
As scores of previously sealed court filings regarding sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are about to be made public, a report states that former President Bill Clinton is mentioned in more than 50 of the redacted filings.
In December, Manhattan federal Judge Loretta Preska ordered the release of sealed documents from a defamation suit Virginia Giuffre — who claimed she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17 at Epstein’s home — filed in 2015 against Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell.
“Finally we are hearing members of the US government senators about the need for transparency and a call to arms for accountability!! There’s going to be a lot of nervous ppl over Christmas and New Years, 170 to be exact, who’s on the naughty list? This wouldn’t be possible without the Honourable Judge Preska,” Guiffre tweeted, adding, “Merry early Christmas. Dozens of Jeffrey Epstein associates, victims likely to publicly ID’d in court docs in coming weeks — thank you and many blessings for Judge Preska. A truth seeker & justice maker.”
Additional details are expected from “Jane Doe 162,” who testified she was with Prince Andrew, Maxwell and Giuffre at Epstein’s New York mansion in 2001, ABC News reported, noting that more than 150 names listed as “John and Jane Does” are mentioned in the records.
Giuffre has claimed she met Clinton on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, “Little St. James.”
Flight records have shown Clinton flew repeatedly overseas on Epstein’s jumbo jet, but no evidence has come to light that he visited Epstein’s island.
ABC News reported Clinton is identified as “Doe 36.” In 2016, a few days after Hillary Clinton won the Democratic nomination for president, Giuffre’s lawyers subpoenaed Clinton for deposition testimony regarding his relationship with Epstein, prompting Clinton’s attorneys to say his testimony would not help Guiffre because he had never visited Epstein’s island.
U.S. District Judge Robert Sweet denied Guiffre’s team’s request. In March 2017, Giuffre’s lawyers tried to stop Maxwell’s team from using testimony that claimed Clinton had never visited the island, saying it would be “inherently unfair” to Giuffre as her team had never been allowed to question Clinton as to whether he had been there.
“You did not allow us to depose him because you said it was irrelevant,” Guiffre’s lawyer told JSweet. “So now we’re in a position where at trial they want to put forth that information against my client, and I don’t have an under-oath statement from that individual saying whether or not he actually was.”
In 2019, Clinton’s spokesman said, “President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,” adding, “In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa, which included stops in connection with the work of the Clinton Foundation. … He had one meeting with Epstein in his Harlem office in 2002, and around the same time made one brief visit to Epstein’s New York apartment with a staff member and his security detail.”
