AOC Torched After Praising U.S. Hold On Israel Military Aid
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took some heat on Sunday for an X post supporting the Biden administration’s decision to put a hold on some military aid headed for Israel.
Ocasio-Cortez shared a report from Axios — which noted that it was the first time since Hamas launched unprovoked attacks on Israel on October 7th that the United States had stopped a shipment of ammunition headed to Israel, and that Biden’s concerns about an Israeli offensive in Rafah could be behind the decision.
“The United States has an obligation to uphold its own laws and to respect human rights globally. Amidst the Israeli gov’s siege on Gaza, blocking humanitarian aid, and threats on Rafah, withholding US military aid is a major development towards ceasefire,” Ocasio-Cortez posted via X.
Critics quickly pointed out the fact that Hamas terrorists — in addition to starting the current war with the October 7th terror attacks — could easily bring about a ceasefire simply by releasing all of the remaining hostages.
“AOC, On Holocaust remembrance day you spread blood libels, intentionally obscuring the truth: Hamas launched rockets from Rafah at the Kerem Shalom crossing today. The only siege is of Hamas, holding their own people— and 133 Israeli hostages— captive,” Hen Mazzig posted.
“Do you have a comment on how Hamas bombed the Kerem Shalom crossing – where Israel had based its aid efforts out of? You sent this after that happened,” Bethany Mandel added.
“Biden & Schumer are dancing to the Squad’s anti-Israel hatred,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) replied.
Marc Leibowitz commented, “When the lunatic fringe applauds @JoeBiden’s withholding of ammunition from @Israel while she is fighting a multi-front war following the 10/7 atrocities on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, you know that there is zero distinction between the adults in the room and the nuts.”
“I feel like someone once got impeached for being accused of withholding congressionally mandated foreign aid for political reasons. But apparently it’s something to brag about now?” NYC Councilwoman Vickie Paladino said.
