Fox Business Host Reveals His Niece Got Shot By Gang Members In Harlem

Fox Business host Charles Payne revealed on Wednesday that his niece had been shot by gang members two weeks earlier while visiting a family friend in Harlem.

Payne made an appearance on “Fox & Friends” to talk about former President Donald Trump’s planned rally in the Bronx, and he weighed in on the dramatic increase in violent and gang-related crime that was taking over the city.

“Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade opened the segment with a mention of Trump’s upcoming rally in the Bronx, cutting to a video of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) reacting to it. She claimed that Trump was using the rally to “fleece” people out of their money so that he could pay his legal bills and was only doing it in the South Bronx because he had to be in court in Manhattan anyway for his hush-money trial.

“He can’t leave the Five Boroughs because he always has to be in court,” she claimed. “And so it is truly an embarrassment to him and I am looking forward to the response of everyday Bronxites talking about how they feel about him coming to their backyard.”

Lawrence Jones jumped in right after the clip ended, asking whether Ocasio-Crotez was the one who had run Amazon out of her districtseveral years earlier.

“The irony, though, is that she would not be in Congress if the third-highest ranking Democrat wasn’t so arrogant that he didn’t even go campaign,” Payne replied, noting that Ocasio-Cortez certainly understood how important getting out an campaigning could be.

He went on to say that he had a lot of relatives in the South Bronx, adding, “I’m thrilled President Trump is going there, I wish he would go to Harlem. Two Mondays ago, my niece was shot on the street that I grew up on. My niece was shot on the street that I grew up on! She doesn’t even hang out there; she doesn’t live there on the block anymore, but a good friend of mine who I’ve known for 45 years, her son passed away, and they were having a memorial for him, and so these guys — the gang violence is on the rise so much, it’s so underreported — so they come around with their masks, they’re shooting crazy, one third floor apartment was all busted up.”

Payne concluded with an update, saying that after a four-hour surgery and two weeks in the hospital, his niece had finally been released to go home a day earlier.
