Leak Of Trump, RFK Call: Trump Says He’s Going To Win, RFK Agrees
In a private phone call with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is also running for president, Kennedy agreed with Donald Trump that not only is Trump running ahead of Biden, but he will defeat him in November’s election.
The call was leaked when Kennedy’s son, Robert F. Kennedy III, inadvertently posted a video clip of the call online.
“We’re going to win; we’re way ahead of the guy [Biden],” Trump could be heard saying, the Daily Mail first reported, adding that Kennedy Jr. responded, “Yeah.”
Trump spoke of his recent call with Biden, saying, “He was very nice actually. He called and he said, ‘How did you choose to move to the right?'”
Trump assumed the question was about his head movement that saved him from being killed by the shooter’s bullet. He said he told Biden he was looking straight on, “I was just showing a chart.” Trump laughed to Kennedy, “I didn’t have to tell him the chart, it was about all the people pouring into our country, right? But I just turned my head to show the chart and something wrapped me. It sounded like a giant … like the world’s largest mosquito. … What do they call that? An AR-15 or something, that’s a big gun, pretty tough guns, right?”
Trump also spoke to Kennedy Jr. about vaccines, saying, “I would love you to do stuff, and I think it would be so big for you.”
Kennedy Jr. later apologized for the release of the video, saying: “When President Trump called me I was taping with an in-house videographer. I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted. I apologize to the president.”
The call led to accusations from Democrats that Kennedy Jr. was colluding with Trump.
“RFK Jr. was recruited to run by MAGA Republicans, his candidacy is funded by MAGA’s biggest donor, and now we learn he’s colluding with MAGA to help Donald Trump win,” DNC communications adviser Lis Smith snapped. “He has no path to victory in this race and is nothing more than a spoiler for Trump.”
