Trump Campaign Gives CNN 10 ‘Must Ask’ Questions For Kamala Interview

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign shared a list of ten questions that it said CNN “must ask” Vice President Kamala Harris when she sits down for her first interview since leap-frogging to the top of the Democratic Party’s 2024 ticket.

Harris is expected to do a pre-taped joint interview — alongside her running mate, Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) — with friendly CNN anchor Dana Bash. This long-awaited sitdown comes nearly 40 days after Harris became the Democrats’ de facto nominee, replacing President Joe Biden after high-dollar donors and powerful party leaders effectively forced him out of the race.

“Last night, CNN announced that Kamala has mustered up the courage to sit for a *joint* interview — after 39 days of hiding out from reporters,” the Trump War Room account posted via X. “Here are 10 questions @DanaBashCNN MUST ask Kamala Harris …

The first question included a video of Harris promising at a campaign stop to lower prices and bring down inflation. “If you are capable of lowering prices for Americans, why haven’t you done it in the 3½ years you have been in office?”

Question 2: “You say housing affordability would be a “Day One priority” if you were elected. Why is it not a priority now?”

The third question addressed her prior support for far-Left policy ideas — ideas that her campaign staffers have tried to tone down through strategic leaks to the media. “You co-sponsored Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal. Do you still support these multi-trillion-dollar takeovers of the American economy?”

Question four addressed the chaotic situation at the U.S.-Mexico border — chaos that has only been exacerbated by Biden-Harris administration policies and since Harris was put in charge of determining the “root causes” of migration with an eye toward stopping it.

“You talk a lot about ‘freedom.’ What about the freedoms of Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray? These women were killed by illegal immigrants who were let into the country under your watch.”

“President Trump didn’t need a ‘border bill’ to secure the border. Why did you support executive actions like stopping construction of the border wall and halting deportations that intentionally unsecured the border?” the fifth question read.

Question six: “Trump was the first president in decades to start no new wars. Under your watch, wars are popping up in Europe and the Middle East. Why is that?”

Question seven addressed the apparent decline of President Joe Biden and asked Harris directly why she, like so many others, had helped to hide that decline from the American people.

Questions eight and nine dealt with law enforcement, Harris’ prior support for the Defund the Police movement, and the end of cash bail — both of which have led to increases in crime where such policies have been more actively pursued.

The final question referenced Harris’ radical policy positions — positions she touted during her failed presidential primary bid in 2019 — and asked why the American people should believe that she suddenly doesn’t support nearly everything she stood for just over four years earlier.

“You have sent anonymous aides out to claim you’ve abandoned the radically liberal positions that you’ve held for decades. Do you think lying to the American people is the best strategy?”

The conclusion, according to the campaign, was obvious: “It’s no coincidence that Kamala’s first interview is scheduled for the Thursday night before Labor Day weekend. They already hope it gets lost — and it hasn’t even aired yet. Kamala is clearly scared to do an interview on her own and it’s pre-taped so they can clean it up.”
